Location

Kalamitsi is a traditional village in Lefkada located 20km southwest from Lefkas and it is one of the oldest villages on the island. The village is decorated with the Panagia ton Kipon church and 13 stone windmills. There are several local taverns with delicious food in Kalamitsi, shops with souvenirs and local products, gyros and bakeries etc.

The village has some special charm because it feels antique and continuity in existence, unlike some purpose-built small towns.

Kalamitsi is located in the west of the island where the most beautiful beaches are, therefore it is an excellent base for visiting the beaches. The sea is turquoise blue and the ground is pebble, however there are no crowds on the beaches so you can enjoy peace and quiet.
